At Davidson, he is serving his second term as president of the African-American
Club and his second term as president of the Elite Chapter of the Mobile Kappa League, leading over 80 young men in area high
schools in pursuit of building leadership and social skills through club-oriented activities. Cornell has received the Academic
Honor Roll Award every year as a high school student and is a member of Skills USA and the Vocational Industrial Clubs of
America. He has served as a volunteer with the Prichard Housing Authority, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross.
He participated in Breakfast with Santa for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and also served as
a student teacher for the 100 Black Men Summer Enrichment Program. He was a member of the Colonial Bel Air Mall Teen Board
and Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Culturama and completed an internship with local radio station 93BLX in the fall. He is a member
of the Mobile Chapter of Jack and Jill of America’s LeBeautillion Militaire. An active member of Mount Sinai Missionary
Baptist Church, he serves as a member of the Junior Usher Board. He is the recipient of the GMAC Bowl’s 1st and 10 Club’s
Scholarship, an award only given to 11 seniors in Mobile County with college aspirations.
